Q. Are you a hotel?
A. No, our properties are fully furnished rental apartments.
Q. What are the advantages of staying with West Side Vacation House
rather than a hotel or
a regular apartment sublet?
A. There are cost advantages with staying in our units. On
average our rates are
40% to 60% less than up-scaled hotels. Staying with us,
there is no long-term
lease hassles. Apartments, fully furnished with tasteful
decors, provide you
more space and privacy than hotel rooms, and a more "at Home" atmosphere for
cooking or entertaining than regular sublets.
Q. Is there tax on furnished apartments?
A. Stays are subject to applicable
state and city lodging tax.
Q. How are the apartments equipped?
A. Please see the description on each apartment webpage.
Q. Is there housekeeping service?
A. One-time check-out room cleaning. No daily housekeeping. Should you wish to
housekeeping service during your stay, please contact our
detail fee schedule.
Q. Are towels provided?
A. Yes, we always provide one
towel for every tenant during the whole stay. We
highly suggest tenants to bring their extra towels if daily towel
needed. Upon request, additional towel/linen replacement may be provided at

A. Groceries and necessities
are not provided in the rental apartments. Delis and
supermarkets can be easily found right downstairs within 1~2 blocks from
apartments for tenants'
daily needs and convenience.
Q. Can we take a look at the furnished apartment before booking it?
A. In order to maintain living
quality and privacy for the current tenants and
neighbors in building, since January 2012 we no longer show apartments
arranged check-ins. Actual pictures and specific description of each
listed on website for a virtual tour in our featured apartments.
Q. Are pets or smoking allowed?
A. No, in order to keep a clean environment and the living
quality, West Side
Vacation House has the rules of non-smoking and no pets for
privilege. Smoking violations will cause additional cleaning at tenants'
Q. What about more people staying?
A. Facilities are prepared best for two tenants. We are flexible with the number of
charge of $10~$20/night per extra person more than two. Should
two tenants need to sleep separately, an extra bedding/futon mattress can
provided for $10~$20/night.
Q. How do I get the keys to the apartment?
A. Keys will be handed to you in person by our representative or
Q. What if I lost the keys?
A. A replacement fee of
$100~$150 will be charged in the case of lost keys.
Q. What is the move-in and move-out time?
A. Check-in: after 3:00pm; Check-out: before 11:00am
Early check-in / late check-out fee of $35 for the arrangement of special
housekeeping time. The check-out time can never be later than 2:30pm. If you
need to make the special arrangements, please email our representative at least
two days prior to check-in.
Q. Lost and found?
A. We are not responsible for
any personal belongs left in the apartment. Should
the cleaning team find any items left behind after check-out, shipping
be arranged upon request with service fee $35~$60 plus shipping cost.
